Boojee Maintenance Manual

Post a property job free, get competing bids from verified contractors, and Boojee holds the money in escrow — funds release only on your approval.

Overview

Boojee Maintenance is a two-sided contractor bid marketplace. Homeowners post a project for free and receive real bids from license- and insurance-verified contractors — not a lead shared with four competitors. You choose who to hire, and your payment is held in Boojee-managed escrow, released only when you approve the finished work. Contractors apply free, pass a one-time verification, and bid on real jobs with no monthly subscription and no lead-purchase fees — Boojee takes a 10% platform fee only when a job is won and completed.

Getting Started

Homeowners

  1. Open Boojee Maintenance and start the "Post a Job" form (it's free — no account or subscription required).
  2. Pick your job category, describe the project, upload photos, and set a rough budget. Takes about 5 minutes.
  3. Boojee routes your project to verified contractors in your area; most projects receive 2–4 bids within 48 hours.
  4. Compare bids by scope, timeline, and contractor credentials, then pick your contractor.
  5. Once work begins, your payment is held in escrow and released only on your approval.

Contractors

  1. Submit the contractor interest form: name, trade/specialty, service area, license number (if applicable), and email.
  2. Boojee verifies your state license, insurance certificate, and business history (typically 1–3 business days).
  3. Get matched to real jobs in your trade and area, bid directly to the homeowner, and get paid on completion.

FAQ

How much does it cost to post a job?

Nothing. Posting is free for homeowners, with no account or subscription required. Contractors set project prices through competitive bids.

How fast will I get bids?

Most projects receive 2–4 bids within 48 hours, routed to verified contractors in your area.

How does escrow protect me?

Your payment is held in Boojee-managed escrow once work begins and is released only when you approve the finished job — never auto-released on a set date.

Are the contractors vetted?

Yes. Contractors must pass a one-time verification of their state license, insurance certificate, and business history before they can bid.

What does it cost contractors to join?

Applying and getting verified is free — no subscription and no lead-purchase fees. Boojee's 10% platform fee applies only when a contractor wins and completes a job.

What if my job type isn't listed?

Post it anyway. The listed categories are the most common, but all licensed trades and property work are covered.
